Our LEQ team understands that improvements to local environmental quality can contribute towards a whole range of areas such as people’s quality of life, the health of communities and the business community. We regularly undertake work to identify innovative ways of tackling problems associated with improving the quality of the local environment. As part of our work, we seek to influence other organisations to develop a responsible attitude in terms of litter and the quality of the local environment. This often means us commenting on other organisation’s documents, plans and policies such as those of the Welsh Assembly Government.
Keep Wales Tidy has introduced several new services to help community groups, businesses, housing associations and local authorities to tackle local environmental quality issues.
A new survey methodology that looks at the overall quality of streets and working in partnership with n-ergy Works (a Welsh social enterprise who employ ex-offenders) a 100% effective, environmentally-friendly solution to tackle the problem of chewing gum and graffiti.
We have joined forces with Nordic Pioneer Ltd. to deliver a new and comprehensive range of training courses to tackle local environmental quality issues.
